What is Olin TECS?

TECS stands for Technical Expertise for Community Service. Olin TECS is here to facilitate the connection between Olin students and non-profit organizations in the local community.

What does TECS do for Non-Profits?

We recognize that there are many services that non-profit organizations need, but cannot necessarily afford due to the high cost of consultants and contracters. However, these services, things such as web design, software design, and mechanical fabrication, are all things that Olin students are good at and love to do. Olin TECS will help you find a student at Olin who can give you what you need without the outrageous cost.

What does TECS do for Students?

It is well known that community service is one of the founding principles of Olin College, and Olin students love to serve. Even so, there are not many opportunities for Olin students to put what they have learned in class into serving the community. Olin TECS changes all that. We help you find an organization that needs your higher level skill, so that you can make whatever it is you do an effort for a good cause.
